Homework
Your child’s homework will be put onto Class Dojo each week. Each family has been signed up to Class Dojo. If you are having any problems accessing it please speak to your child’s class teacher.
There will be lots of different activities to do. Please take a picture of your child completing their learning and send it to Class Dojo so we can have a look at their fantastic home learning.
Part of your child’s homework is for them to read for around 10 minutes each day.
Please see ‘Reading With Your Child’ to help you with some ideas to make reading with your child really effective.
Annual Curriculum Overview 2021-22
In the EYFS we consider children’s interests when planning our curriculum. We aim to provide children with a broad and balanced curriculum that will provide children with the opportunity to make as much progress as possible whilst developing a love and enthusiasm for learning.
We create a simple plan based on our observations of children’s interests as they enter Nursery and Reception. The details of the curriculum to be taught are added each half term but can be subject to change depending on the children.
A more detailed plan is added onto the class pages at the beginning of each half term so you can see what your child will be learning in school and use this to help support them with their learning at home.

Vocabulary
In the Early Years we realise the importance of developing children’s vocabulary. We use a wide range of books and stories to help extend children’s vocabulary. Please help to support this by looking at the vocabulary sheets and help your child to use this vocabulary at home. The more children hear and use new words the more they can remember them. Children with a wider range of vocabulary often make the best progress at school.
Please keep checking the website regularly for new vocabulary sheets.
Thank you.
