Welcome to Year 1's Year Group Page
Below you will find lots of helpful tips and ideas to extend your child's learning beyond the classroom, photographs of what we have been learning and our curriculum overviews along with some helpful resources to use at home.
Reading
Reading is an important part of every childs development in school and part of your childs home learning is reading at home for 10-15 minutes every day.
Your child will bring home a reading book everyday, a library book once a week and you will be sent an e-book once a week from their reading practice sessions on Classdojo.
Home Learning
Children are expected to:
- Use Letter Join to improve letter formation and spelling of common exception words.
- Read their reading practise book from Classdojo.
Please support your child as they complete the activities.
